Cupressus macrocarpa ‘Goldcrest’
or Goldcrest Wilma is one of the most attractive
golden-foliage columnar conifers with beautiful
bright yellow foliage, emitting a lemon scent
when crushed or cut.
This is the ideal plant for the
centre of a planter over winter, which will
be quite content in such a situation for many
years. Very versatile, it can even be trained
in to an exquisite topiary form. In the summer,
it's scent will help deter mosquitos and keep
knats at bay.
All in all a lovely, small and
easily managed tree for for the patio, or in
the open garden. Evergreen and fast growing.
Happy in full sun or part shade. Tolerant of
most soils & climates and is suitable to
be planted directly into the garden provided
sufficient water is available, and soils are
good. Ideal for coastal positions.
